June KAL, Book Sweater, Smart Daughter :)

Here is a pic of the June Dishcloth KAL. The saying on it is, Happy Father's Day. I honestly could not figure out what the pattern was, never thought of turning the dishcloth to see, just kept thinking I messed up the pattern some how. I think it would be easier to see in a darker color, like the group suggested. This color is what I had on hand in my stash. Who doesn't want to use up some of their stash when they can?? Couldn't really get a good pic of it.

I also made this book sweater or pocket thing for my husband. When ever he takes a book to work with him, it gets banged around in the car, on the desk, just being carried, smacked in to walls/door jams, dropped, etc... Love my husband but I think some of my grace, or lack of grace rubbed off on him.

We worked on the yard most of the day. My poor daughter loves to dig in the dirt but I told her no because of her infected finger. It is slowly healing. I'll spare you another nasty finger pic. You can thank me later. lol She was not thrilled by the thought of not digging! This is what she came up with, a plastic glove and a rubber band. How could I tell her no now???

The kids also were given a bunch of starter plants by a family friend today. They were so excited about this! I will tell you about that tomorrow.

I am off to try to knit a baby bootie. First time wasn't pretty. Hopefully it will go better this time. Happy Knitting!

It is so true about some of those dishcloths. Sometimes you're following the chart thinking, is this right ??? I love the idea of a book sweater, I'm always dragging a book around with me and tossing it in the back seat. -- The plastic glove for digging; brilliant !!!
