Not a lot of knitting took place today. That makes for an unhappy mummy. Hopefully I will be able to get some knitting in tonight while my husband & I watch a movie or two. We are going to watch, "The Men Who Stare as Goats" for ourselves, then screen the movie, "Avatar" for our son. He is only 9 yrs old and has been begging to watch the movie. We will see. We also had a fun little trip to UrgentCare this afternoon for my daughter. Nothing major & she is okay. She has an infection in her pointer finger. It got completely worse overnight. The finger doubled in size and then had two red lines that ran down each side of her finger. Of course this doesn't happen during normal doctor office hours. The spunky 5yr old is on a combination of two antibiotics and now understands why she shouldn't chew on her nail. Gross but true. Here are a few nasty photos of it because I know you are very interested in seeing them. LOL! Off to knit, hopefully. Happy Knitting!!

Ouch, that looks painful! Glad she is doing ok now (love your writing about it; a priceless anecdote in years to come)...
Isnt it always the way, kids do the most silly things at the worst time. My eldest fell off his pushbike and hit a telegraph pole with his face on first day of school holidays. Needless to say his holidays officially sucked cause he was all bandaged up..
What happened to ellas finger, ela trapped her fingers in the door at mums the other day, they r heavy fire doors it was horrible!
I just watched the men who stare at goats. Very good movie! Happy knitting!
I think Ella chewed on the skin around the nail or the nail itself. Not sure. Poor Ela, how are her fingers now? Lucky that she didnt break any of her fingers!!
